This is the tutorial for the "proper crane", the one that most people will think of when it's mentioned. I know that my photoshopping skills suck and he pictures are a bit blurry, but bear with it and you should be fine.

I would highly reccomend you practice with the flappign crane for a while to get the hang of reverse folds, petal folds and squash folds before attempting this one.

Hello,

I been a little confused about the final part with the wings are you actually suppose to fold down and make a crease line for when you pull down the wings or are you just suppose to pull them apart and spread them?

You can do either. It depends how you want the final product to look. Why not try both ways and see which one you prefer.

First time giving this a try...
I tought "the flapping crane" was the complicated one, so I went straight ahead and did this haha -shot-
It's sitting on my windowsill now, and well... the poor thing is kind of beaten up, and I think I managed to do alot the wrong way... but hey, it looks like a crane :heart:

I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to respond to this and I simply can't. It makes me blush every time I read it. I'm ecstatic that it made your day, and the fact that you cherish it even though it's not perfect is amazing. So many people I know are all too willing to throw out their first attempts without recognizing what they accomplished. You are very welcome for the tutorial, and I'm glad you found it useful!

I bet your tutorial has made not just me, but many people happy, haha. But I recognise the fact that people often give up, and that is just too sad, really.
Keep up your encouraging work and you'll contribute to, and see, even more people not giving up, and feel a little better when they accomplish something themselves. That, if anything- is amazing.
